President Tokayev Addresses Inaugural Board of Peace Meeting, Praises Trump’s Vision

Washington, DC, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivered a keynote speech at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, according to the Akorda press service.
Addressing heads of state and international leaders at the summit, President Tokayev expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for hosting what he described as a historic gathering.
“Our meeting at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace comes at a time when decisive and pragmatic actions are gaining paramount importance,” President Tokayev said. “In essence, it is about building a lasting peace through practical, purposeful measures rather than through endless conferences with resolutions based merely on well-intentioned wishes.”
“Peace Through Creation” Initiative
The Kazakh leader noted that President Trump’s “clear vision and far-sighted approach” to advancing global peace and stability inspired Kazakhstan to join the Board of Peace.
President Tokayev emphasised that the initiative reflects evolving global realities and complements existing multilateral efforts. He described the concept of “Peace Through Creation” as an innovative and unprecedented step in international diplomacy.
“The world has yet to see such initiatives — it is, in fact, an unprecedented step, as the innovative concept or project ‘Peace Through Creation’ has every chance of becoming a reality owing to our joint efforts,” he stated.
Call for Concrete Action
Reaffirming his support for the Board’s objectives, President Tokayev stressed that sustainable peace must be rooted in tangible and coordinated actions rather than symbolic declarations.
“Mr. President, I fully share your conviction that a lasting peace must be based on concrete actions,” he concluded.
The inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace brought together leaders from dozens of countries to discuss mechanisms for conflict resolution, humanitarian coordination, and long-term global stability.
