President Tokayev and Italian Prime Minister Meloni Meet at ADSW 2025

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025, according to a statement from the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, President Tokayev extended his warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Meloni, expressing his hopes for her continued success in her state duties and the prosperity of the Italian people.
The Kazakh leader fondly recalled his official visit to Rome last year, which marked a significant milestone in Kazakh-Italian relations. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the momentum achieved during that visit and reiterated his invitation for Prime Minister Meloni to undertake an official visit to Astana. The proposed visit aims to further strengthen the high level of cooperation between the two nations.
President Tokayev’s previous meeting with Prime Minister Meloni took place during his official visit to Italy on January 18, 2024, where both leaders engaged in fruitful discussions to advance bilateral ties.
Kazakhstan and Italy continue to build on their strong diplomatic relationship, focusing on areas of mutual interest, including sustainable development, trade, and international cooperation. The potential visit of Prime Minister Meloni to Astana would further solidify these efforts, fostering greater collaboration between the two countries.
