President Tokayev Arrives in Turkmenistan for Official Talks and Cultural Events

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has arrived in Turkmenistan for an official visit, as reported NHC, citing the Akorda press service. Upon arrival at Ashgabat airport, President Tokayev was warmly welcomed by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of the Turkmen people.

The visit will include high-level negotiations between President Tokayev and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan. A highlight of the visit will be the unveiling of a monument to the esteemed Kazakh poet Abai in Ashgabat. Additionally, President Tokayev is set to participate in the International Forum titled “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development,” aimed at fostering dialogue and cooperation among nations.

Earlier, President Tokayev held a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Woo Won-shik. During this meeting, the President emphasized that this visit marks a significant milestone in the special relationship between Kazakhstan and South Korea, underscoring the importance of bilateral ties.

This visit underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening regional partnerships and promoting cultural and historical connections among nations.
