President Tokayev Awards Uzbek President with Kazakhstan’s Highest Honor
Astana, The Gulf Observer: In a significant gesture of respect and recognition, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan announced the decision to award his Uzbek counterpart, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with the Order of the Golden Eagle (Altyn Qyran Order), the highest state honor of Kazakhstan. The announcement was made during a media briefing following bilateral talks held at Akorda, as reported by NHC.
President Tokayev highlighted the profound contribution of President Mirziyoyev to strengthening the good-neighborly relations and alliance between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, underscoring the importance of these ties for both nations.
“This painstaking work of the leader of Uzbekistan is highly appreciated by the people of Kazakhstan. With this in mind, I decided to present the highest state award to Shavkat Mirziyoyev—the Order of the Golden Eagle. This is a sign of special respect from all of us for the leader of Uzbekistan and a manifestation of the ancient unity and solidarity between our two countries. May the unshakable friendship of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan be eternal,” said President Tokayev.
In response, President Mirziyoyev expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan for bestowing upon him this prestigious honor.
“I consider this award as a high appreciation of our joint efforts in strengthening the centuries-long true friendship and good-neighborly relations of our two nations. Kazakhstan is our closest, most reliable, and time-tested partner,” said President Mirziyoyev.
