President Tokayev Discusses Bilateral Cooperation with US Senator Steve Daines
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, convened a meeting with US Senator Steve Daines, emphasizing the significant momentum in Kazakh-US cooperation, according to reports of Akorda.
President Tokayev underscored the pivotal role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering international relations between Kazakhstan and the United States. The discussions encompassed various aspects of trade and economic collaboration, with a particular emphasis on Kazakhstan’s commitment to attracting investments, economic liberalization, and industrial advancement.
Highlighting the key sectors of bilateral interaction, President Tokayev identified energy, mineral exploration and processing, and infrastructure modernization as paramount areas of focus.
The meeting also addressed matters pertaining to international and regional security. President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s solidarity with Russia and condemned the recent terrorist attack in Moscow. He stressed the importance of collective action and urged countries to unite within a comprehensive international coalition to combat terrorism, notwithstanding existing geopolitical differences.
