President Tokayev Extends Christmas Greetings to Orthodox Christians

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has extended warm congratulations to Orthodox Christians across the country on the occasion of Christmas, emphasizing the important role of Orthodox Christianity in strengthening interfaith harmony in Kazakhstan, the Akorda press service reported.

In his congratulatory message, the Head of State noted that the bright holiday of Christmas fills hearts with faith, hope and love for one another. He stressed that Christianity, alongside other traditional world religions, embodies enduring spiritual and moral ideals such as justice, mercy, sincerity, responsibility, kindness and harmony.

President Tokayev highlighted that Orthodoxy makes a significant contribution to fostering interfaith harmony in Kazakhstan and plays an important role in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, hard work and strong family values.

He underlined that the principles of unity, solidarity and mutual assistance form an integral part of Kazakhstan’s state policy and serve as the unshakeable foundation of the country’s achievements. By demonstrating mutual respect, trust and compassion, he said, society will continue to move forward confidently along the path of justice and progress.

Concluding his message, the President wished Orthodox citizens and all residents of Kazakhstan good health, success and prosperity, expressing hope that every home would be filled with well-being.
