President Tokayev Holds Talks with Moldovan President Sandu in Baku
Baku, The Gulf Observer: On the sidelines of the COP29 climate summit in Baku, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan met with President Maia Sandu of Moldova to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations, according to media reports.
The two leaders explored avenues to deepen the traditionally friendly ties between Kazakhstan and Moldova, particularly in the trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian sectors. President Sandu highlighted the forthcoming opening of Moldova’s embassy in Astana, scheduled for next year, as a step that will significantly enhance bilateral cooperation.
Both presidents also agreed on the importance of high-level exchanges, committing to organize mutual visits to further foster diplomatic engagement and collaboration. The Moldovan government recently approved the establishment of its new embassy in Kazakhstan’s capital, a development expected to facilitate closer ties between the two nations.
