President Tokayev Meets Russian FM to Discuss Strategic Partnership
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Astana on Monday, as Lavrov arrived to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, according to the reports of the Akorda press service.
In his welcoming remarks, President Tokayev emphasized the consistent and strategic development of Kazakh-Russian relations, highlighting the partnership and alliance between the two nations.
The discussions focused on enhancing trade and economic interaction, as well as promoting investment and industrial cooperation. President Tokayev underscored the importance of fully implementing agreements previously reached at the highest level, noting that these agreements have a strategic nature aimed at significantly strengthening the multifaceted ties between Kazakhstan and Russia.
The meeting also covered key issues on the regional and international agenda, along with cooperation in multilateral formats and integration associations.
This dialogue reflects the ongoing commitment of both Kazakhstan and Russia to deepen their strategic partnership and address mutual interests in various spheres.
