President Tokayev Meets with North Macedonian President to Bolster Bilateral Ties

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, during her official visit to Kazakhstan, media outlets reported.
Extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guest, President Tokayev noted that the visit takes place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Astana and Skopje. He emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with North Macedonia.
“Kazakhstan is interested in the development of a comprehensive partnership with North Macedonia. We consider your country a reliable partner on the Balkan Peninsula,” President Tokayev stated.
In response, President Siljanovska-Davkova expressed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted the significant potential for expanding bilateral cooperation across various fields.
The two leaders engaged in a detailed exchange of views on deepening trade-economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention was given to promising sectors such as agriculture, transport and logistics, finance, and tourism. Both sides agreed to inject new momentum into the full spectrum of Kazakh-Macedonian relations.
The presidents also welcomed the decision of the renowned North Macedonian pharmaceutical company Alkaloid to open a representative office in Almaty, which marks a new milestone in economic collaboration.
In addition to bilateral matters, the leaders exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda, underscoring their shared interest in contributing to regional and global stability.
