President Tokayev Welcomes Chinese President Xi Jinping in Astana

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping today at Astana Airport, according to the Akorda press service.

President Xi Jinping arrived in Kazakhstan for a state visit at the invitation of President Tokayev and to attend the 24th Meeting of the Council of the SCO Heads of State.

In a gesture symbolizing the sincere friendship between Kazakhstan and China, children waving flags of both nations welcomed President Xi and members of the official delegations, performing a song in Chinese.

During the visit, high-level talks are scheduled between the two leaders, and important documents will be signed, further solidifying the bilateral relations and cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
