President Xi Advocates for Stronger China-Brazil Community with Shared Future

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping has reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Brazil as the two nations celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. In a congratulatory message to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President Xi highlighted the significance of the milestone and expressed his readiness to work closely with Brazil to forge a China-Brazil community with a shared future.

President Xi noted that over the past five decades, despite shifts in the global landscape, the relationship between China and Brazil has consistently developed, gaining strategic and comprehensive influence on the international stage. Recalling President Lula’s successful visit to China last year, Xi underscored the consensus reached during the visit to guide the future of China-Brazil relations. He stressed that China is prepared to use this 50th anniversary as a new starting point to further align development strategies, deepen cooperation across various sectors, and inject new vitality into their bilateral relationship.

For his part, President Lula lauded the enduring friendship and diversified cooperation between Brazil and China over the past half-century. Lula affirmed that the strong bilateral ties between Brazil and China are vital for global stability and predictability.

In addition to the leaders’ exchanges, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin also shared congratulatory messages, further reinforcing the strong ties between the two nations.
