President Xi Departs for SCO Meeting and State Visits to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping departed from Beijing on Tuesday morning to attend the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana. In addition to the SCO meeting, President Xi will make state visits to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The visit underscores China’s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The meetings will focus on various issues of mutual interest, including economic collaboration, security, and cultural exchange, furthering the objectives of the SCO and reinforcing China’s role in promoting regional stability and development.
