President Xi Jinping Emphasizes Innovation in Ideological and Political Education

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: In a directive addressing the development of ideological-political courses for schools, President Xi Jinping, also serving as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, underscored the imperative to continually forge new paths in ideological and political education within the contemporary educational landscape.
Xi highlighted the enduring commitment of the CPC Central Committee to prioritize the development of ideological-political courses in schools since the 18th CPC National Congress, affirming the steadfast reinforcement of the Party’s leadership in this critical realm.
Guided by the principles outlined in the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Xi stressed the fundamental mission of fostering moral character and underscored the necessity of aligning the development of ideological-political courses with this paramount objective.
Xi emphasized the strategic significance of formulating a comprehensive system of textbooks centered on the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and advocated for the integration of political education across all educational levels, spanning from elementary schools to universities.
The President stressed the imperative of upholding foundational principles while simultaneously pioneering new approaches to enhance the relevance and appeal of ideological-political courses. He emphasized that Party committees and leading Party member groups at all levels must accord top priority to the development of such courses.
Xi articulated the imperative for educational institutions of diverse types to continually innovate in ideological and political education within the new era, cultivating individuals who exhibit loyalty to the Party, patriotism, dedication, and a profound sense of responsibility towards the realization of national rejuvenation.
The directive issued by President Xi was conveyed during a meeting convened in Beijing on Saturday to bolster the advancement of ideological-political courses for schools. Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, graced the gathering and delivered an address.
