Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia Hold Telephone Talks, Reaffirm Strategic Partnership and Mutual Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A telephone conversation took place on Tuesday between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

At the outset, President Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated his Russian counterpart on his birthday, extending heartfelt wishes for good health, prosperity, and continued success in his state duties.

Expressing his gratitude for the felicitations, President Putin emphasized the significant contribution of President Berdimuhamedov to strengthening the Turkmen-Russian partnership, which continues to develop on the principles of friendship, mutual respect, and mutual benefit.

During the exchange, President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed that Russia remains a strategic partner of Turkmenistan, with bilateral relations grounded in equality, good neighborliness, and constructive cooperation. He also highlighted the productive engagement between Turkmenistan and various regions of the Russian Federation within the framework of intergovernmental dialogue.

Taking the opportunity, President Putin conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Berdimuhamedov invited President Putin to take part in the forthcoming International Forum of the Year of Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, scheduled to be held on December 12 in Ashgabat.

In response, the Russian leader thanked his Turkmen counterpart for the invitation and underlined the constructive role of Turkmenistan’s policy of positive neutrality in fostering regional peace and prosperity.

The two presidents concluded the conversation by exchanging warm wishes for good health, continued success in their official duties, and lasting well-being and prosperity for the friendly peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia.
