Prime Minister Chín Affirms Commitment to Sustainable Global Logistics at FIATA World Congress 2025 in Hanoi

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính reaffirmed Việtnam’s commitment to being a reliable partner and an attractive, safe destination for the global logistics community, emphasizing solidarity, cooperation, responsibility, and sustainable development as guiding principles.
The Prime Minister made the statement during the opening session of the 2025 FIATA World Congress, the largest annual gathering of the global logistics industry, held in Hà Nội from October 6–10.
Organized by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA)—a non-governmental organization representing freight forwarding companies from about 150 countries and territories—the event has brought together over 1,039 delegates from more than 100 countries for in-depth discussions on logistics and transport trends, challenges, and innovations.
In his keynote address, PM Chính noted that FIATA’s decision to select Việtnam as host reflects the international community’s confidence in the country’s potential, role, and development aspirations in the logistics sector. He said the event provides an opportunity for Việtnam to present itself as a nation that is peaceful, stable, innovative, dynamic, and hospitable.
Highlighting Việtnam’s strategic advantages, the Prime Minister pointed out its location along key international maritime and air routes, its 3,200-kilometre coastline, and its extensive network of seaports, airports, and border crossings. These factors, he said, position Việtnam to become a regional logistics hub.
PM Chính underlined that logistics is one of Việtnam’s three main growth drivers and serves as a vital bridge connecting domestic production, localities, and global supply chains. To foster international cooperation for a modern, green, and sustainable logistics industry, he called on the FIATA community and global businesses to collaborate with Việtnam in promoting innovation, digital transformation, sustainable logistics practices, human resource development, and multimodal connectivity.
He affirmed that Việtnam is committed to ensuring a transparent, safe, and favourable investment environment for both domestic and foreign enterprises in the logistics sector. The government, he added, will continue to enhance institutions, mechanisms, and policies to encourage public-private partnerships and strengthen multilateral cooperation.
“The 2025 FIATA World Congress offers an important platform to deepen cooperation and jointly shape a greener, smarter, and more modern global logistics industry that contributes actively to trade, investment, and shared prosperity,” the Prime Minister stated.
On the sidelines of the congress, a logistics exhibition featuring over 120 booths is being held, alongside a logistics talent award ceremony recognizing innovative young professionals who are helping define the future of global logistics.
