Prime Minister Chính Departs for WEF Annual Meeting
Hà Nội, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính departed Hà Nội on the morning of June 24 to attend the 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian city, Liaoning province, China. The meeting, scheduled from June 24 to 27, is held at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.
Accompanying PM Chính are key ministers, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and other representatives from various ministries, agencies, and localities. This delegation underscores the importance of Vietnam’s participation in this significant global economic forum.
Themed “Next Frontiers for Growth,” the WEF Annual Meeting will convene 1,600 delegates from nearly 80 countries and regions. The forum aims to harness collective insights to identify and advance new models of sustainable and equitable growth, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Prime Minister Chính’s consecutive invitations to this prestigious event highlight the recognition of Vietnam’s growing influence and its critical role in global economic development. His presence at the forum underscores Vietnam’s contributions to global economic growth and its forward-looking vision for future economic development.
The meeting provides a valuable platform for Vietnam to showcase its achievements in macroeconomic stabilization and development priorities. Additionally, it offers an opportunity for Vietnam to highlight its development orientations on an international stage.
While in China, PM Chính and his entourage will engage in bilateral activities aimed at maintaining high-level strategic exchanges and strengthening political trust between Vietnam and China. They will work to implement high-level agreements and joint statements made during recent visits by the two countries’ Party leaders. The agenda includes promoting practical cooperation in key areas such as cross-border railway connections, border economic cooperation, export channels, high-quality investment, sustainable tourism, and high-quality personnel training.
