Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Congratulates To Lam on Election as Vietnam’s President
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday extended his congratulations to To Lam on his election as the President of the Vietnam.
In a message shared on his X timeline, the prime minister conveyed his best wishes to President To Lam, expressing optimism about the future of bilateral relations. He stated that Pakistan looks forward to further strengthening its warm and friendly ties with Vietnam and enhancing cooperation in key areas, including trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges for the mutual benefit of both nations.
According to official reports, Vietnam’s lawmakers unanimously elected To Lam, who also serves as General Secretary of the Communist Party, as the country’s state president for a five-year term from 2026 to 2031.
The development marks a significant step in Vietnam’s political landscape and is expected to further reinforce cooperation between Pakistan and Vietnam across multiple sectors.
