Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Expresses Solidarity with Iran, Signs Condolence Book at Iranian Embassy

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to express Pakistan’s heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the people and Government of Iran in the wake of the recent Israeli aggression.

In a solemn gesture of support, the Prime Minister signed the condolence book opened by the Iranian mission to honour the martyrs and those injured during the tragic events. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary, according to a statement from the PM Office Media Wing.

Upon arrival at the embassy, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was warmly received by Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Reza Amiri Moghaddam and senior diplomatic staff.

The Prime Minister conveyed his deepest sympathies to the Iranian nation and government, offering prayers for the souls of those who embraced martyrdom and for the speedy recovery of the injured. He paid tribute to the courage and resilience of the Iranian people during this time of adversity.

While assuring Iran of Pakistan’s unwavering support, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his good wishes and highest respects to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and President Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian.

The visit reflected the depth of Pakistan-Iran brotherly relations and Islamabad’s principled stance on standing in solidarity with its neighbours during times of crisis.
