Punjab University invites Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram as a keynote speaker in Two Days Hybrid International Conference on “Democracy, Governance, and Sustainability” at Lahore
Lahore, The Gulf Observer: On 15th and 16th May 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), participated as a keynote speaker in the Two Days Hybrid International Conference on “Democracy, Governance, and Sustainability” organized by The Department of Political Science, University of Punjab, Lahore.
During the inaugural session, Dr. Irum Khalid, the esteemed Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Punjab, Lahore, led the conference and welcomed distinguished guests, including Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, ED of PRCCSF, the renowned journalist Mujeeb ur Rehman Shami, and Dr. Sajid Mehmood, Vice Chancellor of Miraj University. Dr. Irum Khalid honored the presence of these esteemed individuals by presenting bouquets and shields.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram also gives presentation in working session – 2 on the topic of “Global Warming and Climate Change.” In his presentation he emphasized the urgency of addressing the challenges posed by global warming and climate change and highlighted the need for sustainable and proactive measures to mitigate their impacts. This session was chaired by Dr. S. Raghib, Director LIRA.
With an emphasis on academic rigor and collaborative dialogue, the International Conference on “Democracy, Governance, and Sustainability” set a precedent for fostering interdisciplinary discourse and charting a path towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
