Putin Pays Respects to Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani Martyrs in Baku
Baku, The Gulf Observer: On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Alley of Honors in Baku, where he paid tribute to Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader and architect of modern and independent Azerbaijan. During his visit, President Putin laid a wreath at the grave of Aliyev, honoring his significant contributions to the nation’s development.
In addition to this, President Putin placed flowers at the grave of Zarifa Aliyeva, a renowned ophthalmologist and academician, further acknowledging the prominent figures in Azerbaijan’s history.
Continuing his state visit to Azerbaijan, President Putin also visited the Alley of Martyrs, a revered site in Baku dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijani heroes. At the Alley of Martyrs, the Russian leader laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument, paying his respects to those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
President Putin’s visit highlights the ongoing diplomatic relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, underlining the historical and cultural ties that bind the two nations.
