Qatar Foundation to Celebrate International Day of Education with Inspiring Events
Doha, The Gulf Observer: In honor of the International Day of Education, observed annually on January 24 by the United Nations, Qatar Foundation (QF) is set to host a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering collaboration between schools and families to enhance the quality of education and students’ performance.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, QF’s celebration will revolve around the theme “Education is Everyone’s Responsibility.” This initiative aims to encourage public and private entities, as well as individuals across society, to actively advocate for and elevate the standard of education throughout Qatar.
Taking place at QF’s Education City on January 24 from 9 am to 6 pm, the event will feature an interactive exhibition showcasing educational programs, thought-provoking sessions covering various topics to enrich the dialogue on education, and visits for secondary school students to QF’s partner universities. These visits will provide students with insights into the diverse range of programs offered by these institutions.
The day’s agenda includes an Arabic session titled “Language and Identity – Strategies for Preservation,” followed by a session by the Education Above All Foundation on “Building Resilient Futures: The Transformative Power of Education in Conflict Zones.” A panel discussion by QF’s Doha International Family Institute will emphasize the importance of creating a supportive environment that enhances trust and communication with children and youth. The final discussion will focus on the role of technology in the field of inclusive and specialized education, and a student discussion will explore whether education fulfills students’ needs.
Participation in the celebration extends beyond QF, with 11 QF Pre-University Education schools and 19 schools from across Qatar joining the event. An additional 22 entities will also host various educational activities.
Parents are invited to be part of this special occasion by visiting their children’s schools and participating in activities such as workshops and community events. The sessions are open to everyone, with event registration required for attendance.
