Qatar participates in ministerial meeting of Asia-Pacific Group

Doha, The Gulf Observer: The delegation of Qatar participated in the ministerial meeting of the Asia-Pacific Group of the International Labour Organization yesterday. The meeting aimed at discussing prospects for cooperation and coordination on issues affecting the Labour sector in Asia, the Pacific and the Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Hassan Al Obaidly, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, and a number of senior officials of the Ministry of Labour, on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Al Obaidly conveyed Qatar’s gratitude and recognition for the backing and trust given by the Asia-Pacific Group, as they endorsed Qatar to preside over the 111th session of the International Labour Conference.

He underscored Qatar’s commitment to ensure the success of the current conference session, aiming to produce meaningful recommendations to help the global workforce surmount challenges.
