Qatar Post issues postal stamps marking 10th anniversary of Amir’s accession
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Under the auspices of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai inaugurated on Sunday six postal stamps marking the 10th anniversary of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s accession to the reins in the country.
This issuance from Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) comes in continuation of the 2018 issuance to mark the fifth anniversary of HH the Amir’s accession to the reins.
Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post Faleh Mohammed Al Nuaimi said that this occasion is a distinguished reminder of Qatar’s achievements during the past decade under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, expressing Qatar Post’s pride in documenting this occasion. He also pointed out that Qatar Post always seeks to commemorate all national occasions.
For his part, Head of Philatelic and Museum at Qatar Post Khalid Rustom said that the company has issued six conventional stamps by the highest quality standards, making them a valuable addition to the Qatar Post’s collection of official stamps.
He added that the new postal stamps series included 300 pure gold stamps, 1,000 golden (24-karat) stamps, and in 5,000 sets.
