Qatar Seeks to Strengthen Interparliamentary Diplomacy with Kazakhstan
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar, Arman Issagaliyev, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Qatar Shura Council, Hassan Abdullah Al-Ghanim, as reported by the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on the current state of interparliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar. Both sides highlighted the significant interest generated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s address at the Shura Council during his state visit to Doha in February this year.
Ambassador Issagaliyev provided a comprehensive overview of the extensive reforms underway in Kazakhstan across the political, economic, and social spheres. The discussion also emphasized the initiation of joint projects following the agreement signed in March to establish a long-term strategic partnership for development in key areas.
Chairman Al-Ghanim underscored the crucial role of both parliaments in ensuring the successful implementation of these agreements. He also noted the international community’s positive reception of Kazakhstan’s reforms, particularly in social protection.
The meeting concluded with a review of a plan for mutual visits and high-level joint events aimed at further strengthening the strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar.
