Qatari Ambassador Visits Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs Pavilion at Cairo International Book Fair

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Qatari Ambassador to Egypt Sheikh Jassim Al-Thani visited the pavilion of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During the visit, Sheikh Jassim reviewed the pavilion’s wide range of religious, educational, and cultural content, which reflects Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote Islamic knowledge and awareness. The Cairo International Book Fair is being held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center and will continue until February 3, featuring 1,457 publishing houses from 83 countries.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs showcased publications from the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, highlighting the various stages involved in printing and distributing the Holy Qur’an. Copies of the Qur’an were also presented to visitors as gifts from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Sheikh Jassim Al-Thani praised Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts in serving and disseminating the Holy Qur’an, commending the high level of organization and quality displayed at the pavilion.
The pavilion also features the Islamic e-Library and several advanced digital initiatives, including the Rushd application, the Correct Citation application, and the multilingual Virtual Hajj application, all designed to enhance access to authentic Islamic resources.
In addition, visitors are offered immersive virtual reality experiences that provide interactive tours of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, using advanced digital technology.
The Ministry’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair underscores Saudi Arabia’s prominent role in promoting Islam, supporting Muslim communities, and contributing to global cultural and intellectual engagement.
