Washington, The Gulf Observer: Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, engaged in a meeting with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken.

The discussions centered on the strategic relations between the two friendly nations and explored avenues for further promotion and development.

Among the topics addressed were the recent developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. Both parties stressed the imperative need for a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian cause. They emphasized the continued provision of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip and deliberated on the latest regional developments with a focus on de-escalation strategies.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani expressed Qatar’s deep appreciation for its close partnership with the United States. He underscored the mutual commitment to enhancing this partnership across various spheres.

The Prime Minister commended the United States’ efforts in pursuing de-escalation initiatives and fostering peace and security in the region. HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani also conveyed Qatar’s profound concern regarding recent regional developments and condemned the targeting of the US base in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, emphasizing the violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty.
