Helsinki, The Gulf Observer: Romanian President Nicușor Dan is visiting Finland on Monday and Tuesday, 15–16 December, to participate in the EU Eastern Flank Summit and engage in a series of official meetings with Finnish government and defense industry representatives.

On Monday, President Dan is scheduled to meet in Helsinki with representatives of defense and aerospace companies during a visit to the PIA Association headquarters. Later in the afternoon, he will hold an official meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo at the Kesäranta residence.

The visit continues on Tuesday in Espoo, where the Romanian leader will tour the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, one of Europe’s leading applied research institutes. In the second half of the day, President Dan will take part in the EU Eastern Flank Summit at the House of the Estates in Helsinki.

The summit agenda includes working sessions on European Union support for Eastern Flank states, regional security developments, and strategic coordination amid ongoing tensions caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Participating leaders are also expected to hold a joint press conference at the conclusion of the meeting, RFI Romania reported.

Last week, President Dan traveled to Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron and attended the inauguration of a new alley in Parc Monceau, named after Romanian diplomat Nicolae Titulescu.
