The ambassador further emphasized that the successful launch of the Vostok-1 was made possible through the dedication and collective efforts of millions of Soviet citizens. He noted that the milestone in the space race reflected the unity and perseverance of scientists, engineers, workers, and leaders across the former Soviet republics.

“Pakistan attaches great importance to its multifaceted relations with Russia,” she said, adding that cooperation between the two countries has expanded in key areas such as energy, regional connectivity, education, and cultural exchanges. She noted that such shared commemorations not only honor historic achievements but also reinforce mutual respect and strengthen ties of friendship.
The Russian Embassy also extended its gratitude to the International Charitable Public Foundation “Dialogue of Cultures – United World” and the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange for their support in providing the bust of Yuri Gagarin and contributing to the construction of the monument.
