Saudi and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Discuss Middle East Security in Phone Call

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, on March 15 to discuss the evolving security situation in the Middle East and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on the current regional security environment, expressing concern over the rising tensions in the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of preventing further escalation and highlighted the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries in the region.

Both sides also stressed that neighboring countries should not be targeted and underscored the importance of maintaining stability through diplomatic engagement and adherence to international principles.

In addition to regional security matters, the ministers reviewed the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia and discussed prospects for further strengthening bilateral ties across various sectors.

The conversation also included an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
