Saudi Arabia endeavors to become world's largest clean hydrogen exporter, says Saudi Energy Minister

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman held a meeting in Riyadh on Monday with a delegation of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, led by its chair David James McEllister.

During the meeting, the efforts of the Kingdom in the field of clean energy technologies to manage hydrocarbon emissions and renewable energy sources as part of its endeavor to lead energy transition through local and regional initiatives, topped by the Saudi Green initiative and the Middle East Green initiative were reviewed.

The meeting also went across the Kingdom’s efforts in dealing with emissions through capturing, using, recycling and storing carbon within the carbon circular economy approach in addition to its endeavor to become the world’s largest clean hydrogen exporter.

In this regard, the minister underscored the importance of cooperation between Middle Eastern exporters and European consumers to help advance and boost such efforts.

The delegation was briefed on the Kingdom’s efforts to support and encourage innovation in the field of energy to reach highly-efficient systems without bias or discrimination against any of its sources.
