Saudi Arabia Offers Condolences to Azerbaijan Over Aktau Plane Crash
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia extended its heartfelt condolences to Azerbaijan following a tragic plane crash that occurred near the western Kazakh city of Aktau.
In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Azerbaijan. The ministry also wished a swift recovery to those injured in the incident.
The crash involved a plane traveling from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to Grozny in the Russian region of Chechnya. The aircraft, carrying 67 passengers, burst into flames after crashing near Aktau on Wednesday. Authorities confirmed that 29 individuals survived the crash.
Saudi Arabia’s expression of solidarity underscores its support for Azerbaijan during this difficult time, reflecting the close ties between the two nations.
