Saudi Arabia Ranked Most Trusted Government Worldwide in 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia has been ranked as the most trusted government globally, achieving an impressive 87 percent trust rate, according to the 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer. This distinction highlights the Kingdom’s continued leadership in global trust indicators and reflects the effectiveness of its governance and institutional stability.
The high trust ranking underscores the success of Vision 2030, the comprehensive reform agenda initiated by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in strengthening governance frameworks and enhancing public confidence in the nation’s leadership. By fostering economic diversification, institutional transparency, and social development, Vision 2030 has positioned Saudi Arabia as a global benchmark for government trust and effectiveness.
In addition to leading in overall trust, Saudi Arabia also secured the top global ranking in future outlook, with 69 percent of its citizens expressing confidence that the next generation will be better off. This optimistic sentiment sharply contrasts with figures in many other nations, where less than 50 percent of respondents share similar confidence in their future. The results underscore the positive societal impact of Saudi Arabia’s strategic policies and its commitment to sustainable development and economic progress.
Saudi Arabia’s leading position in trust indicators surpasses several major global economies, including the United States, which recorded a 47 percent trust rate, the United Kingdom at 43 percent, and Germany at 41 percent. This achievement reaffirms the Kingdom’s success in fostering a stable and forward-looking society, reinforcing its role as a model for governance and public confidence on the world stage.
The Edelman Trust Barometer is an annual global survey measuring public trust in institutions, including government, business, media, and NGOs. The 2025 results highlight Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in shaping a governance model that prioritizes transparency, economic resilience, and societal well-being.
