Saudi Arabia Represents Arab Countries at World Summit on Teachers in Chile

Santiago, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia represented Arab countries at the World Summit on Teachers, held in Santiago, Chile, reaffirming its commitment to advancing global education goals. The Kingdom’s delegation, headed by Deputy Minister of Education for Planning Saad Al-Ghamdi on behalf of the Minister of Education, included representatives from the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, alongside high-level international delegations.
During the leaders’ meeting of the High-Level Steering Committee for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) — “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all” — Al-Ghamdi delivered the Kingdom’s address on behalf of the Arab Group.
In his remarks, he underscored Saudi Arabia’s strong support for global efforts to achieve sustainable education goals and presented the Kingdom’s future vision for the sector. He stressed the importance of quality education, the promotion of sustainability through green education initiatives, and the fostering of values of tolerance and coexistence, while strengthening opportunities for lifelong learning.
Al-Ghamdi further emphasized the central role of teachers in the educational process, noting the importance of empowering educators through continuous training and creating an environment that stimulates creativity and excellence.
Highlighting education as a vital investment in human capital, the Deputy Minister called for stronger international partnerships and innovative financing mechanisms to ensure that every child and young person has access to quality education that enables them to contribute positively to their societies and to the world.
