Saudi Arabia to Host WEF Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting in Jeddah in 2026

Davos, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia concluded its participation in the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos by announcing that the Kingdom will host the World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, titled “Building Common Ground and Reviving Growth,” in Jeddah on April 22–23, 2026.

The Kingdom’s participation at WEF 2026, held from January 19 to 23, was led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The Saudi delegation comprised several senior officials, including Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar, Minister of Commerce Majid Alkassabi, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Alkhateeb, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.

Saudi officials actively participated in key WEF sessions, including The Global Economic Outlook, A Check-In on the Saudi Economy, Quality of Life 2030 and Beyond, Economies of the Future: Fast-Forward to 2050, From Reform to Delivery: Executing Change at Scale, and The Human Code: Designing Capability Systems.

Members of the delegation also took part in a broad range of public and closed-door discussions, as well as bilateral meetings, underscoring the importance of constructive dialogue, practical partnerships, and coordinated international action to support global stability and long-term prosperity.

In parallel, Saudi House—led by the Ministry of Economy and Planning—returned to Davos with its most extensive program to date. The platform introduced NextOn, a new thought leadership series highlighting perspectives from across the Kingdom, and hosted more than 20 sessions featuring ministers, international executives, and global experts.

Discussions at Saudi House were organized around six core themes aligned with Saudi Vision 2030: Bold Vision, Insights for Impact, People and Human Capability, Quality of Life, Investment and Collaboration, and Welcoming the World. These sessions were delivered in partnership with national entities and initiatives, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global engagement and sustainable growth.
