Saudi Arabia’s Interior Minister Inspects Hajj Security Preparations

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Interior Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, inspected the preparations of the security forces for this year’s Hajj, according to a report from the Saudi Press Agency early Tuesday.

During the annual Hajj security forces celebration, attended by the minister, Director of Public Security Mohammed Al-Bassami announced that the security forces are fully prepared to handle any disturbances, ensuring that pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease and comfort.

The celebration included a parade showcasing various security drills, specialized and armored vehicles, as well as helicopters, demonstrating the readiness and capability of the security forces.

Separately, Prince Abdulaziz attended the closing ceremony of the First Forum for Health and Security in Hajj, organized by the Ministry’s General Administration of Medical Services.

Saleh Al-Mohsen, the administration’s general supervisor, stated that the capacity of the Security Forces Hospital in Makkah and its affiliated health centers has been increased. Isolation areas have been prepared and equipped with the latest modern technologies and devices, and comprehensive preventive medicine procedures have been implemented alongside numerous health awareness programs.

Al-Mohsen added that the administration is working to expand the use of artificial intelligence and modern technologies to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

These measures underscore Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj.
