Saudi Crown Prince Receives Trump in Riyadh with Official Welcome Ceremony

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday with an official welcome ceremony at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, marking a significant moment in the American leader’s first overseas trip of his second term.
President Trump arrived in the Saudi capital earlier in the day, where he was warmly greeted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at King Khalid International Airport. The two leaders then proceeded to the royal court for formal talks and a state luncheon.
The welcoming ceremony reflected the depth of Saudi-U.S. relations and featured traditional Saudi elements, including a cavalry escort and trumpet fanfare. The national anthems of both countries were played as the Crown Prince and President Trump reviewed the honor guard.
Following the ceremony, the Crown Prince accompanied the U.S. President to the main reception hall of the palace, where they were served traditional Saudi coffee and exchanged greetings with senior Saudi officials and members of the U.S. delegation.
A formal luncheon was later held in honor of President Trump, attended by a distinguished gathering of Saudi royal family members, ministers, senior government officials, business leaders, and diplomats. Among the prominent attendees were Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Princess Reema bint Bandar, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
President Trump’s visit to the Kingdom is expected to include high-level discussions on a range of strategic issues, including regional security, economic cooperation, energy policy, and defense collaboration, underscoring the strong and enduring partnership between the two nations.
