Saudi Crown Prince Welcomes Kuwaiti Crown Prince in Jeddah
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia welcomed his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to Jeddah on Tuesday. The official visit was marked by a warm reception and discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extended a cordial welcome to Sheikh Sabah Khaled and his delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom. Sheikh Sabah Khaled expressed his gratitude for the hospitality, highlighting his pleasure at visiting Saudi Arabia and appreciating the warm reception.
The meeting, held at Al-Salam Palace, focused on strengthening the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Both leaders explored opportunities for growth and development across various fields, exchanging views on several regional and international issues.
In honor of the Kuwaiti delegation, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted a lunch banquet. The visit was significant as it marked Sheikh Sabah Khaled’s first official trip to Saudi Arabia since his appointment as Crown Prince of Kuwait on June 1, following a decree by Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Sabah Khaled departed Jeddah later on Tuesday, with a farewell ceremony at King Abdulaziz International Airport attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and other senior officials.
Following his visit, Sheikh Sabah Khaled sent cables to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing his appreciation for the generous hospitality that underscored the deep ties between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors to achieve mutual prosperity.
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince praised the successful discussions held during the visit and wished the Saudi leadership continued good health and the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
