Riyadh , The Gulf Observer: A high-level Saudi delegation, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan, will participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, to be held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23.
The delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar, Minister of Commerce Majed Al-Qasabi, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.
The 56th WEF Annual Meeting, held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” comes amid growing global fragmentation, increasing complexity, and rapid technological change. The forum will address emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and clean energy, alongside challenges posed by geopolitical uncertainty. During the meeting, the Saudi delegation will engage in open and constructive dialogue with leaders from government, business, civil society, and academia to promote global stability and shared prosperity.
In line with the Kingdom’s role as a responsible and active member of the international community, the delegation will also share Saudi Arabia’s experiences through bilateral meetings and public sessions, highlighting how Saudi Vision 2030 has become a blueprint for driving transformative economic and social growth.
“Saudi House” will return in 2026 following its debut as a standalone pavilion on the sidelines of the 2025 WEF Annual Meeting. Established by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Saudi House serves as a platform for global thought leaders to discuss challenges, opportunities, and solutions shaping the international economy.
Throughout the week, Saudi House will host more than 20 sessions, including over 10 WEF-accredited sessions, across six key themes: Bold Vision, Insights for Impact, People and Human Capability, Quality of Life, Investment and Collaboration, and Welcoming the World. The pavilion will also launch NextOn, a series of influential and educational talks featuring leading global thinkers.
The 56th WEF Annual Meeting will bring together heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, and prominent academics, with representatives from more than 100 governments and major international organizations, as well as over 1,000 senior private-sector executives.
This year’s forum aims to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors by identifying future opportunities and evaluating innovative solutions across multiple economic fields, fostering international collaboration to address global development challenges and advance collective institutional progress.
