Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Participates in Meeting on Sudan Peace Efforts
Djibouti, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, participated on Wednesday in the Second Consultative Meeting on Enhancing Coordination of Peace Initiatives and Efforts in Sudan, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During the meeting held in Djibouti, Al-Khuraiji reiterated the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to resolving the Sudanese crisis. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s openness to and support for international efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving peace in Sudan.
Al-Khuraiji highlighted the collaborative efforts of the United States and Saudi Arabia in facilitating talks between the Sudanese parties in Jeddah, which culminated in the signing of the Jeddah Declaration to protect civilians in Sudan.
He also expressed Saudi Arabia’s dedication to restoring security and stability in Sudan. He urged the Sudanese parties to prioritize wisdom and self-restraint, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to positive and humanitarian initiatives.
The Second Consultative Meeting on Enhancing Coordination of Peace Initiatives and Efforts in Sudan reflects the ongoing international commitment to supporting Sudan in its pursuit of peace and stability.
