Saudi FM holds key talks in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan held key talks in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Monday, including a meeting with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow. President Berdimuhamedow received Prince Faisal at the Presidential Palace during his official visit.

At the beginning of the reception, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, to him and wished them more progress and continued sophistication and development.

During the reception, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the international arena.

The Saudi minister praised the positive meeting he had with the president, and that the Kingdom has a distinguished relationship with Turkmenistan.

“The relations between the two brotherly countries extend for about 30 years,” Prince Faisal told Turkmen Media after the meeting.

He said that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening strong relations, exploring new opportunities in all fields and transferring them to wider horizons.

Later, Prince Faisal met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

They held an official session of talks. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in all fields.

In addition to discussing the consolidation of bilateral coordination in many political, security and multilateral fields at various levels, along with exchanging views on regional and international issues of common interest.
