Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan Represents Crown Prince at Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh

Sharm el-Sheikh, The Gulf Observer: On behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended the Gaza Peace Summit held on Monday in the Egyptian coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The high-level summit, co-chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, brought together more than 20 world leaders, alongside representatives from several countries and international organizations.

The summit culminated in the signing of the Gaza Peace Deal, a landmark agreement aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip and advancing peace and stability across the Middle East.

At the opening session, leaders welcomed the agreement reached between the parties to the conflict in Gaza and commended the mediation efforts led by President Trump and key regional partners, including Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye. The participants reaffirmed their collective commitment to supporting all initiatives that promote lasting peace and security in the region.

In their concluding session, the leaders of the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye formally signed the Gaza Peace Agreement, which lays the groundwork for a comprehensive ceasefire, ensures the continued flow of humanitarian aid, facilitates prisoner and hostage exchanges, and outlines a framework for post-war reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip.

The Saudi delegation, headed by Prince Faisal bin Farhan, included:

  • Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs;
  • Saleh Al-Hussaini, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt;
  • Walid Al-Samaeel, Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office;
  • Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and
  • Mohammed Al-Yahya, Advisor to the Foreign Minister.

Prince Faisal’s participation reflected Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace in Gaza and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to regional stability and humanitarian cooperation in coordination with its international partners.
