Saudi Foreign Minister Leads Delegation at Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit on Gaza

Amman, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, led the Kingdom’s ministerial delegation at the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in Amman on Wednesday. The high-level meeting focused on the critical developments in the Gaza Strip, with particular emphasis on diplomatic efforts to advance the recognition of the Palestinian state and the implementation of the two-state solution in line with the Arab Peace Initiative.
Chaired by Prince Faisal, the committee reaffirmed the urgency of addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and stressed the importance of concerted Arab and Islamic efforts to secure lasting peace and stability in the region. The ministers underscored the need for international support to achieve a comprehensive and just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which remains pivotal to regional security.
Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, along with Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed Mustafa, joined the discussions alongside several high-ranking officials from Arab and Islamic nations. The summit reiterated the commitment of the participating countries to the two-state solution as the foundation for peace, calling for the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting concluded with a call for increased international pressure to halt the escalating violence in Gaza and reaffirmed the region’s collective support for Palestinian rights.
