Saudi Space Commission Launches Aerospace Training Program with Boeing
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The Saudi Communications, Space and Technology Commission has launched a comprehensive training program for aerospace engineering students, in collaboration with Boeing. The month-long initiative aims to provide participants with valuable hands-on experience with space technologies, while developing their skills in aerospace engineering and sciences, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Boeing, an industry giant, expressed its commitment to the program, emphasizing its role in cultivating local talent and equipping students and graduates with practical knowledge and experience in these critical fields.
The space commission highlighted that the initiative is designed to foster the professional growth of students and enhance their skills in space technologies, better preparing them for the job market.
The program will unfold in two distinct phases. The first phase, held at a Boeing facility in Texas, will focus on theoretical studies, including advanced architectural design related to lunar and Martian missions, with insights provided by NASA. The second phase will be a practical, hands-on experience at a Boeing site in Alabama, where participants will work on real-world projects such as developing a carbon dioxide-removal system for use in lunar and Martian environments.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by the space commission to collaborate with local and international partners, leveraging a diverse range of expertise to enhance the Kingdom’s capabilities in the space sector. By investing in the education and training of the next generation of professionals, the program aims to support national progress and the development of promising young talents.
