Secretary Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan Briefed on West Azerbaijani Deportations

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The “Right of Return” of the West Azerbaijan Community to be held in Baku on December 5-6. A bilateral meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of the West Azerbaijan Community, MP Aziz Alakbarli and the Secretary of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan, Riffat Inam Butt, within the framework of the second international conference on “Ensuring justice for Azerbaijanis forcibly removed from Armenia”.

The community told AZERTAC that during the meeting, the Community Chairman informed the guest about the deportations of Western Azerbaijanis in stages over the past century. Touching upon the issues to be discussed at the conference regarding ensuring the return of our compatriots, the Community Chairman emphasized the importance of the peaceful, safe and dignified return of Western Azerbaijanis to their ancestral lands.

In turn, the guest thanked for the information and noted the importance of implementing the right of return, which is one of the main norms and principles of international law. He said that he is ready to support the West Azerbaijanis in their cause, and he will show his strength in informing the world community about it.
