Iran and Russia maintain close diplomatic and strategic ties, particularly amid shared challenges posed by Western sanctions and geopolitical pressure. The two nations have aligned on multiple regional and international issues, reinforcing their cooperation across various sectors.
In January, Tehran and Moscow signed a Comprehensive Strategic Agreement, designed to deepen bilateral cooperation in key areas including the economy, science and technology, cultural exchange, and tourism.
