Seventh Round of Political Talks Strengthens Bilateral Ties Between Oman and Belarus

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus convened their seventh round of political talks on Tuesday in Muscat, reinforcing their commitment to bolstering cooperation across various sectors.

Chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, representing Oman, and Evgeny Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing Belarus, the discussions centered on fostering collaboration and shared objectives.

Both sides expressed their eagerness to continue and deepen their partnership, acknowledging the significance of mutual cooperation in various domains. The talks aimed to explore avenues for further collaboration, touching upon economic, political, and cultural aspects.

In addition to bilateral matters, Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy and Evgeny Shestakov engaged in conversations addressing regional and international concerns. Notably, discussions delved into the repercussions of the recent Israeli conflict in Gaza, underlining the shared commitment of Oman and Belarus to regional stability.

The meeting saw the presence of key officials, including Munthir Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of the Europe Department, and Sergei Terentiev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Oman. The participation of high-ranking representatives from both nations underscored the importance attached to the talks and the desire to enhance diplomatic ties.
