Sharjah Government Communication Award Invites Final Submissions Ahead of July 24 Deadline

Sharjah, The Gulf Observer: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), organiser of the prestigious Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA), has announced that the deadline for receiving applications for the 12th edition of the award is set for July 24. SGMB is inviting entities and individuals from the UAE and around the world to submit their entries through the official award portal at gca.sgmb.ae before the registration window closes.
The SGCA, a flagship initiative of Sharjah’s government communications sector, recognises excellence and innovation across various areas of communication. This year’s edition features 23 main categories distributed across five key sectors: government entities, private sector institutions, international organisations, individual achievements, and creative competitions.
Diverse Categories Across Sectors
The Direct Submission Awards offer a vital platform for both organisations and individuals to showcase their pioneering work and innovative communication strategies. Categories under the public, private, and international organisations sector include accolades such as:
- Best Integrated Communication System
- Best Innovation in Government Communication
- Best Crisis Communication Strategy
Additional categories highlight cultural preservation, youth empowerment, child and adolescent communication, corporate social responsibility, soft power application, technological integration, internal communication practices, sustainable digital outreach, and standout private sector campaigns.
Celebrating Individual Excellence in Communication
The SGCA also places strong emphasis on individual contributions to the communication field. Professionals and change-makers are encouraged to apply in categories such as:
- Best Youth Initiative in Communication
- Best Official Spokesperson
- Change Makers with Distinctive Digital Content
