Shavkat Mirziyoyev attends World Boxing Championship finals

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Humo Arena sports complex and watched the World Boxing Championship matches.

More than 600 boxers from 107 countries of the world participate in the prestigious tournament. The national team of Uzbekistan is represented in all 13 weight categories. Until now, our boxers have already won 9 medals.

On 13 May, PResident of Uzbekistan watched the final fights with the participation of our country’s boxers. In exciting and uncompromising fights, gold medals were won by Asadhuja Muidinhujaev, who defeated Dulat Bekbauov from Kazakhstan, Khasanboy Dusmatov, who defeated Bilal Bennam from France, and Bakhodir Jalolov, who defeated Cuban Alejandro Arzola.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented gold medals and championship belts to the winners. They will also receive cash prizes from the International Boxing Association (IBA).

On the last day of the World Championship, on 14 May, four more of our boxers will enter the ring.
