Shavkat Mirziyoyev Receives Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, today received a high-level delegation from the Russian Federation, led by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The delegation’s visit coincides with the fifth meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of government of Uzbekistan and Russia.
Prime Minister Mishustin conveyed greetings and best wishes to President Mirziyoyev from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders engaged in discussions aimed at further deepening the multifaceted cooperation, comprehensive strategic partnership, and alliance between their countries.
Key topics included the implementation of agreements reached during President Putin’s state visit to Uzbekistan in May of this year. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the Joint Commission’s recent meeting, highlighting its contribution to advancing bilateral relations.
The talks focused on the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain trade momentum and accelerate joint projects in critical sectors such as industry, energy, agriculture, and transport. President Mirziyoyev emphasized the need for practical cooperation at the regional level and advocated for continued cultural and humanitarian exchange, along with strengthened migration cooperation.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest, reinforcing the strong and dynamic relationship between Uzbekistan and Russia.
