The 28th Dubai World Cup witnessed a dazzling display of talent, with nine fiercely contested races featuring 120 horses from 14 countries, including 33 Group 1 champions. Broadcasting the event to over 150 countries, with 40 international networks, the Dubai World Cup captivated millions of viewers worldwide, reaffirming its status as one of the most prestigious horse racing events globally.
In a thrilling culmination to the evening, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed crowned Laurel River, representing Juddmonte Farms, as the victor of the 28th Dubai World Cup. Guided by jockey Tadhg O’Shea and trained by Bhupat Seemar, Laurel River’s triumph showcased the pinnacle of equestrian excellence on the world stage.
With a total prize money of US$30.5 million, including the highlight race of the evening, the US$12 million G1 Dubai World Cup, the event exemplified the grandeur and prestige associated with the Dubai World Cup.
